Pastoral Leadership

May The Peace of the Lord Be With You. Join Pastor Robert Day, along with the members of Grace for in-person Sunday service, at 10:00am. Everyone is welcome at the Lord’s table.

Pastor Bob is one of the most devoted and empathetic pastors you will meet, and members enjoy the time they spend sitting and talking with him during fellowship hour. He has many years of experience with leading worship, teaching bible study, and performing pastoral acts.  Pastor Bob is here to support, uplift, and to help lead and remind us of the HOPE we have in Christ. He reminds us all that God continuously shows up in our everyday lives and Pastor Bob encourages us to grow in our everyday relationship with the Lord.  He reminds us that we are loved and we are enough in Christ’s eyes. He is our Pastor and he is here to walk with and alongside us on this journey (eating ice cream with us, along the way).

From the Pastor

Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus, my name is Pastor Bob Day, I am the pastor of Grace Lutheran Church in Lutherville.  I am retired, serving as a pastor in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America since 1979.  I am married to Mary Beth, a retired teacher and we have two sons, Matthew and Jason.  Matthew is also a pastor along with his wife Diane, and they have four children:  Thomas, Isaiah, James, and Joseph.  Jason is married to Rachel.  Jason is a Nurse Practitioner and Rachel is a nurse.  I have been at Grace Lutheran Church since 2021; we are a small congregation but very active in the Church at Large and in our local community.  We worship together every Sunday at 10am.

Our worship is traditional as we share in the Word of God and celebrate the Holy Eucharist weekly.  We come together and meet in various groups, and each month we support a local or national ministry (known as our Monthly Appeal).  Our worship service is live streamed and published on Facebook and YouTubeOur website is GraceLutherville.org.  You are welcome to join us in person or online.

May God richly bless you and your family as we seek to serve God and our neighbors with the Good News of Jesus.

Church Council

Members of the Church Council have a willingness to serve the people of God who make up the church community.  They serve knowing that they don’t have all the answers – only a faith and a trust that God’s Spirit abides within the Church.  Prayerfully, it is the Holy Spirit who will help the Council to know the best response for a given situation and it is the Holy Spirit that will nourish and sustain them in their times of doubt and searching.  The Council consists of the Pastor, elected adult members, and the treasurer.  Membership in the Church is required for nomination to the Council.
